The exotic plants and trees include: almond, cashew nut, mango, small plantains known as cuadranos, �ampi, itabo, hibiscus, bougainvillea, pineapples, pitaji, papaya, lemons, oranges, manadarins, various chillies, and mini-peppers, and some herbs etc. The exotic visitors include howler monkeys, iguanas, toucans, magpie jays, parrots, blue morphoes and a variety of many other birds, and butterflies.
8. The drive to Samara beach can be extended to either Nosara in the west, or in the east to Carillo and Estrada, and beyond. Nicoya contains supermarkets, banks, schools and colleges, both private and government-run, various shops, restaurants, and Internet Caf�s etc. Local village of Bel�n, is 5 minutes drive towards Samara, and houses the local high school / college.
9. The city of Liberia is situated just north of the airport, where there are a greater variety of all the services available in Nicoya. Opposite the International Airport of Liberia, is the new Hilton Garden Inn, where a good night`s rest and relaxation is guaranteed, before an early flight the next day, with free transfers.
10. From LIR a flight to San Jos� is possible via Natureair or Sansa, taking around 45 minutes, therefore saving the 3 / 4 hour drive. In San Jos� are all the usual services associated with a city of culture, including museums, theatres, cinemas, hotels, restaurants, banks, many shops, and malls.
